Responsible Government
I believe that local decisions should be made by local governments. Tax dollars should be used wisely and directed toward your local communities and their needs. Supporting small government will be a priority for me if elected to the Wyoming House. I am committed to reducing unnecessary regulations and limiting government interference in our daily lives.
Support Small Towns
House District 40 is made up of small towns. Each of these towns needs representation to improve and ensure its future in Wyoming. I plan to do this by investing in infrastructure focused on these towns that will help support their sustainability.
Lower Property Taxes
This last legislative session, Wyoming legislators took steps toward addressing the property tax increases our communities were facing. However, there is more work to be done, and families are still facing the consequences of high property taxes. I will work to keep government local and continue to provide relief for our communities and families.
Curbing Federal Government Overreach
The federal government needs to be held accountable. Though it owns over half of Wyoming's land, our people live on it and deserve to have a say. I will work against federal overreach and protect our state laws. This will include pushing back on mandates and regulations that work against local agricultural industries.
Health
I have had the opportunity to serve on boards that provide mental health services, including the Rural Health Care Board, which gave me a firsthand understanding of the funding and support our communities need. My experience as an Advanced EMT and public health emergency response coordinator also showed me how important it is for rural communities to have dependable care close to home. My neighbors are important to me, and I want to make sure they can access the support they need. I will advocate for public health services, reliable care for seniors, strong rural ambulance services, mental health resources, and continued support for our local public health offices.
Bill of Rights
I will strongly protect the Bill of Rights, specifically your freedom of speech and Second Amendment rights. Our freedoms are frequently being threatened, and I am committed to making sure you have all of your rights so you can live freely.
